Hello. Crafty Friends! I have a fun shaker birthday card to share with you today. I needed a card for someone who adores dogs. I decided to pack in as many pups as I can from the adorable Best of Friends set.
I stamped the images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and highlighted with gel pens. I used the coordinating Best of Friends Die-namics to cut them out.
COPIC COLORS
Light Brown: E50/51/53/33, E25/29
Dark Brown: E51/53/33, W3/5/7
Light Gray: W0/1/3
Dark Gray: W0/3/5/7
White: W00/0/1
Red: R22/24/29
Green: YG00/01/03/17
For the shaker element, I took another piece of white card stock (4.75” x6.75”) and used the Big Birthday Wishes Die-namics to it out the sentiment. I adhered a piece of acetate large enough to cover all of the letters to the backside of the panel to create the shaker window. Foam adhesive tape was used to create a compartment for the dog bone sequins that I had in my stash. After adding the sequins, I closed off the shaker compartment with a piece of cardstock and added more foam tape to the remainder of the backside of the card front. I adhered the entire front panel to a piece of black cardstock (5” x 7”). Lastly, I adhered the ent panel to a price of Smooth White cardbases (5” x 7”).
I adhered the colored images to the front of the card with liquid adhesive.
