MFT Stamps March Slimline Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends! There's a new Slimline Challenge from My Favorite Things on the MFT Blog today. This month's slimline challenge is to create a Spring Scene. Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!

Flowers and butterflies always remind me of Spring! For today's slimline card, I created a Springtime scene with this adorable bunny from the new Happy Mail beautifully illustrated by Stacey Yacula. I added some super sweet butterflies from the Birdie Brown Adorable Elephants set.

I stamped the images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and highlighted with gel pens. I used the coordinating Happy Mail Die-namics to cut them out.

COPIC COLORS
Bunny: C00/0/1, R000/00
Bowtie: RV10/21/23
Glasses: BG70
Bicycle: B000/00/02, W3/5
Flower Basket: E21/23, Y11/13, RV10/23, YG01/03
Butterflies: Y00/11/13, RV10/23

I used a piece of Smooth White card stock, Tumbled Glass, Twisted Citron and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks to ink blend a subtle background. I trimmed out the panel using the Slimline Double Stitched STAX Die-namics. I also used the die to trim a thin strip of Cement Gray card stock to represent the pavement.

I took another piece of Smooth White card stock and diecut two layers of the Heartfelt Fence Die-namics and one set of the extra pickets to create some dimension. I assembled the fence with some liquid adhesive and set it aside to dry.

I stamped a sentiment from the new Paradise Pals stamp set with MFT Extreme Black Hybrid ink before cutting it out with one of the sentiment strip dies from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics set.

I adhered all of the colored images and sentiment strip onto the panel. Some were adhered directly onto the panel with liquid adhesive and some were popped up with foam tape for some added dimension and interest. I then adhered the panel to a Smooth White card base (3.5" x 8.5").
