MFT Stamps Sketch Challenge 585

Hello Crafty Friends! Happy Wednesday! It's time for a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things. Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!

I have a super clean and simple card to share with you today featuring these adorable cats from the Odd Couple set. This week's sketch challenge reminded me of bubbles and the bubble-blowing cat in this stamp set. I was inspired by the sketch but decided to reverse the sketch to match the direction of the cat blowing the bubbles.

I stamped the images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and highlighted with gel pens. I used three appropriately-sized circle dies as a guide to lightly sketch three circles for my bubbles.

There are so many super talented people who never cease to amaze me with their incredible coloring skills. I, myself, am self-taught and still have sooo much to learn about coloring especially with Copic markers. This is definitely work in progress! Alas, this is my creative adventure and my first attempt at coloring bubbles.  Some squinting and/or imagination may be required! 😂😂😂

COPIC COLORS
Cats: C00/0/1/3, R000/00
Bubbles: G0000 BG10/11/13/15, Y000/11, RV000/00/02, BV000/00/02
Shadow: W00/1/4

I trimmed the panel with the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics  I thought this fun "I Hope Your Day Is Full of Surprises" from the Birthday Buds set was just perfect for this scene. I stamped the sentiment directly onto the panel with MFT Extreme Black Hybrid ink.

I adhered the colored panel onto a piece of Cotton Candy card stock (4.25" x 5.5") with liquid adhesive. I then adhered the panel to a Smooth White card base (4.25" x 5.5").
