MFT Stamps Sketch Challenge 586

Hello Crafty Friends! Happy Wednesday! It's time for a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things. Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!

For my interpretation of the sketch challenge, I have a super clean and simple card to share with you today featuring these adorable penguins from Penguin Party illustrated by Stacey Yacula. These cuties are ready to party!

I stamped the images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and highlighted with gel pens. I used the coordinating Penguin Party Die-namics to cut them out.

COPIC COLORS
Penguins: C00/0/1/3/4/5/6, Y38, R000/00
Red: R20/22/24/27
Orange: Y17 YR04/07
Yellow: Y02/06/08
Green: YG00/01/03
Blue: B000/00/02

I took another piece of white card stock and trimmed it into strips that roughly resemble the sketch challenge. I used Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide to add a subtle splash of color to the background. I stamped some confetti images from Mice Day To Celebrate for some added fun.

I white heat embossed a sentiment from the Bitty Birthday Wishes stamp set on Black Licorice card stock before trimming it out with a sentiment die from Blueprints 27 Die-namics. I adhered the ink blended strips onto the panel with foam adhesive tape for a bit of dimension. I adhered the colored images and ink blended strips onto the panel with liquid adhesive. I then adhered the panel to a Smooth White card base (5.55" x 5.5").
