Hello, Crafty Friends! I am so excited! Today is the start of the MFT April Release Countdown. And you are in for a treat! This release is packed full of fun and amazing products.
Today I have a fun birthday card to share with you featuring the new Winged Wonders. This set has so many beautiful butterfly images to choose from.
I stamped the gorgeous images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the image with Copic markers and gel pens. I used the coordinating Winged Wonders Die-namics to cut them out. I added a bit of shimmer with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.
COPIC COLORS
Yellow: Y11/13/15/19
Pink: RV10/21/23/25
Green: YG00/01/03/17
Blue: B000/00/02/05
Purple: V000/01/04/05/06
The fun part about this card is the pop-up surprise waiting inside. The brand new Pop-Up Surprise Die-namics makes this process effortless and allows for so many possibilities.
I took a piece of Smooth White cardstock and trimmed it in half. I used the Mini Cloud Edges stencil and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink to create a subtle background. I trimmed the panel out with The Pop-Up Die-namics and one of the A2 Stitched Rectangle Set 2 Die-namics. For the inside of the card, I masked off the right half of a A2 sized card base (4.25" x 5.5") and ink blended the same clouds.
I thought the "I hope your day is full of surprises" from the Birthday Buds set was the perfect sentiment for this pop-up card. I used MFT Extreme Black ink to stamp that onto the right half of the card base.
A piece of Black Licorice card stock was used to diecut the Happy Birthday Circle Frame Die-namics (4.25" x 5.5") and to mat the front panel which was adhered with liquid adhesive.
The Pop-Up Surprise Die-namics was adhered with liquid adhesive directly onto the center fold of the inside of the card. The inside butterflies were adhered directly onto the card. The outside butterflies were adhered with foam tape for some added dimension.
I finished the card with some sparkling clear sequins.
Here is a quick video to show the card in action.
