MFT Stamps April Slimline Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends! There's a new Slimline Challenge from My Favorite Things. This month's theme is babies. I have two cards to share with you today. Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!

For my first card, I have a sweet First Birthday card featuring this adorable image from the new Number Fun-1 set beautifully illustrated by Rachelle Anne Miller.

I stamped the image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and highlighted with gel pens.

COPIC COLORS
Bunny: E50/51/53/33, R00
Blanket: BG70 B21/24, Y13
Yellow: Y0000/11/13/15/17
Sky: B0000/000
Grass: YG00/01/03

I trimmed the panel with the Slimline Double Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics. I stamped a couple of sentiments from the set onto the panel with MFT Extreme Black ink.

I added a layer of craft foam behind the panel before I adhered the panel to a piece of Lazy Day cardstock (3.5" x 8.5"). Then I adhered the blue panel to a Smooth White card base (3.5" x 8.5").

For my second card, I have a sweet welcome baby card featuring the adorable images from the You Keep Me Afloat set. Aren't these images just the cutest?

I stamped the image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and highlighted with gel pens. I fussy cut the images since I did not have the coordinating You Keep Me Afloat Die-namics

COPIC COLORS
Bunny: E50/51/53/33, R00
Red: R22/24/27/29
Blue: B21/24/26
White: C00/0/1
Yellow: Y13/15

For my sentiment, I used the Impact Alphabet Die-namics to diecut two sets of the necessary letters -- one from Smooth White and one from white craft foam. I stacked the two layers and adhered them with liquid adhesive. Then I stamped a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Baby set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of Black Licorice cardstock. I added white embossing powder and heat embossed the sentiment before using the sentiment strip from the Slimline Starter Die-namics set to trim the banner.

I trimmed a piece of Lazy Day cardstock with the Slimline Starter Die-namics before adhering it to a Smooth White card base (3.5" x 8.5") with liquid adhesive. I adhered all of the letters, colored images and sentiment strip onto the blue panel with foam tape and liquid adhesive as shown in picture.
