MFT Stamps June Outside the Box Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends! Happy Friday! There's a new Outside the Box Challenge from My Favorite Things. The theme this month is Summer Fun. Hot fun in the summer sun — that’s what the season is about! Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!

I have a sweet little boxcard to share with you today featuring these absolutely adorable penguins from the Birdie Brown Penguins in Paradise set. I completely  adore all of the Birdie Brown illustrations and how can you go wrong with penguins, right?

I stamped the images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and highlighted with gel pens. I fussy cut all of the images since I didn't have the the coordinating Penguins in Paradise Die-namics to cut them out.

COPIC COLORS

Smooth White, Kraft, Sno Cone, and Summer Splash cardstock were used with the Outside the Box Die-namicsOutside the Box Low Profile Add-On Die-namicsOutside the Box Snow Drifts Die-namics and Mini Slimline Outside the Box Waves Die-namics to diecut the necessary parts for the boxcard. I used the die for the stitched front panel to cut a window in the front of the boxcard base. I cut and adhered a piece of acetate to the back of the window. I assembled all of the parts with liquid adhesive.

I used Smooth White cardstock to diecut some clouds with the Cutest Clouds Ever Die-namics. I added some quick and very basic details with gel pens to add some texture and dimension to my diecuts.

I stamped a sentiment from the BB Polynesian Paradise set with Versamark Watermark ink onto Licorice Black cardstock before adding white embossing powder and heat embossing. I adhered all of the colored images and diecuts to the boxcard with liquid adhesive.
