MFT Stamps Sketch Challenge 600

Hello Crafty Friends! Happy Wednesday! It's time for a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things. Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!

I have a clean and simple card to share with you today featuring these adorable fairies from the new Fairy Best Friend.

I stamped the images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and highlighted with gel pens. I used the coordinating Fairy Best Friend Die-namics to cut them out. I used the same dies and some craft foam to cut out one shape of each of the fairies to adhere to the back of my colored images, with liquid adhesive, for some dimension.

COPIC COLORS
Skin: E000/00/30/21/11/93
Hair: E31/33/35/39/37
Green: YG0000/00/01/03/17
Pink: RV0000/10/21/23/25

I used a Spectrum Noir sparkle pen to add some shimmer and sparkle to the fairies’ wings. Sorry, the pictures that I took doesn’t do it justice. The shimmer is gorgeous in real life! I set them aside to dry as I worked on the rest of the card.

For the background, I took a piece of Sno Cone card stock (2.75” x 5.5”) and stamped a couple of the floral images from the set a few times with MFT Sno Cone Premium Ink. I used a paper trimmer to trim out a 0.25” sliver of the strip in order to get some strips that roughly resemble the sketch challenge.

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the set with Versamark Watermark Ink onto an anti-static treated piece of Black Licorice card stock before I added white embossing powder and heat embossed. I used one of the sentiment strips from the Blueprint 27 Die-namics set to trim out the sentiment.

I adhered the Sno Cone strips and the foam-backed colored images to a Smooth White card base (4.25" x 5.5") with liquid adhesive. I adhered the sentiment strip to the card front with foam tape. I finished the card with a few Sparkling Clear sequins.
