MFT Stamps August Outside the Box Challenge

Hello Crafty Friends! There's a new Outside the Box Challenge from My Favorite Things. Have you played along? The theme this month is City Sidewalks and Neighborhood Scenes. Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!

I have a sweet little boxcard to share with you today featuring these absolutely adorable images from the new Ride or Die set. I've paired them up with the new Outside the Box Cityscape Die-namics for a fun little scene.

I stamped the images from the Ride or Die onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with gel pens. I used the coordinating Ride or Die Die-namics to cut them out.

COPIC COLORS
Bunny/Bear: E50/51/53/33, R00/30
Green: YG03/17
Medium Blue: B21/24
Dark Blue: B24/28
Yellow: Y11/13/15
Pink: RV21/23/25
Silver: C0/1
Black: W5/7

For the boxcard scene, I used the partial die cutting technique to diecut a slightly taller Outside the Box Cityscape Die-namics out of Smooth White cardstock to make the buildings in the background slightly taller than the colored images in the foreground. Basically, I only allowed the top cutting plate to cover the building part of the die when I ran the die and cardstock through my diecutting machine. I trimmed an extra 0.75" and 1", onto the bottom of the front and back layers of buildings, by hand.

Smooth White, Sno Cone and Gravel Gray cardstock were used with the Outside the Box Die-namics and Outside the Box Low Profile Add-On Die-namics to diecut the remainder of the necessary parts for the boxcard. I used the cloud dies from the To The Rescue Die-namics to cut out some clouds out of Smooth White cardstock.

I stamped a sentiment from the set onto a piece of Smooth White cardstock, which was then diecut with one of the dies from the Outside the Box Low Profile Add-On Dienamics.

I assembled all of the parts with liquid adhesive. I added the clouds to the back panel. And decorated the box with my colored images as shown in the picture.
