Hello, Crafty Friends! It's the start of the MFT September Release Countdown! I am so excited to share a sneak peek with you from this amazing release.
Today I have a Christmas card to share with you featuring the absolutely adorable images from the new SY Christmas Tree Farm set, beautifully illustrated by Stacey Yacula, and the Grassy Terrain Die-namics.
I stamped the images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with gel pens. I used the coordinating SY Christmas Tree Farm Die-namics to cut them out.
COPIC COLORS
Squirrel: E53/33/23/39, R000/00/30
Mouse: E50/51/53/33, R000/00/30
Fox: E000 YR20/21 Y17/38 YR16/27, R000/00/30
Trees: YG03/17/67, E31/23/25/29
Sign: E31/23/25/29
Red: R05/08/24/29
Axe: E21/23/25, C00/1
I used two pieces of Smooth White cardstock to diecut two layers of the Grassy Terrain Die-namics. I ink blended a hint of Speckled Egg Distress Oxide ink onto the grassy edge of those layers and directly onto the front of a Smooth White card base (5.5" x 5.5").
I took another piece of Smooth White cardstock (5.5" x 5.5") and diecut a circle window in the center with one of the A2 Circle STAX Die-namics. I stamped one of the sentiments from the set onto the panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
I adhered three of the trees onto the card base with liquid adhesive making sure they aligned inside my circle window as shown in the picture. Then, I adhered the grassy layers onto the back of my stamped panel at a level to meet up with the trunks of the trees. To soften the background and bring attention to the elements in my foreground, I added a layer of vellum onto the opening of the circle window before I adhered the panel onto the cardbase.
Finally, the colored images were adhered to the front of the card as shown in the picture.
