MFT Stamps Sketch Challenge 612

Hello Crafty Friends! Happy Wednesday! It's time for a new Wednesday Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things. Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!

I have a clean and simple card to share with you today featuring these adorable bears from BB Cool Days. This was my loose interpretation of this week’s sketch challenge.

I stamped the image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock (4.25” x 5.5”) with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and highlighted with gel pens. I played around and decided to try out a darker and more muted color combo today. It was darker than what I am used to but I thought it worked since the rest of my card was rather light  in color.

COPIC COLORS
Bears: W00/0/1/3, R00/20
Red: R22/24/29/39
Blue: B91/93/95/97
White: C0
Shadow/Snow: B0000/000

After the ink dried, I applied some anti-static powder and stamped the snowflake image onto the mug with Versamark Watermark ink. I added white embossing powder before heat setting the embossing.

For the background, I created and placed masks onto the bears and used some tape to mask off the bottom half of my colored panel. I used Tumbled Glass Distressed Oxide ink to add a splash of color to the background.

A sentiment from the set was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink directly onto the panel. I trimmed the panel with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics. I adhered the panel onto a piece of Blue Yonder cardstock (4.25" x 5.5").

Finally, I adhered the panel onto a Smooth White cardbase (4.25” x 5.5").
