MFT Stamps Slimline Challenge: Halloween

Hello Crafty Friends! Have you played along with the new Slimline Challenge from My Favorite Things? This month's theme is Halloween. There's still plenty of time. Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!

Today I have a Halloween slimline card to share with you featuring the new YUZU Best Witches that is so beautifully illustrated by our very own and very talented DT member Yan Au. These images are sooo adorable!

I stamped the images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the image with Copic markers. I used the coordinating YUZU Best Witches Die-namics to cut them out. I also diecut the Witch's Cauldron out of the Neenah cardstock and colored the parts with Copic markers.

COPIC COLORS
Skin: E000/00/21/11/93
Hair: Y17 YR04
Pumpkins: Y17/38 YR04/09, YG95/97/99
Bat/Cat: T0/1/3/5/7/9, R00/30
Black: T1/3/5/7/9
Purple: V12/15/17
Green: YG00/01/03
Yellow: Y06
Moon: C00/0

For the background, I took a piece of Smooth White cardstock (3.75" x 8.5") and covered the part of it with a circle shaped masking paper. I ink blended the background with Tumbled Glass, Prize Ribbon and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks. After the ink dried, I removed the masking paper and did some simple coloring with Copic markers to give the moon some texture.

I stamped a sentiment from the set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of Black Licorice cardstock and used white embossing powder to heat emboss. I trimmed the edge with the Slimline Grassy Hills Die-namics.

I adhered the grassy edge and all of the colored images onto the ink blended panel with liquid adhesive. I added highlights and stars to the sky with a white gel pen. Finally, I adhered the panel onto a Smooth White card base (3.75" x 8.5").
