Hello, Crafty Friends! It's the start of the MFT November Release Countdown! I am so excited to share a sneak peek with you from this amazing release. The release is packed with so many awesome products! I can't wait to show you them over the next few days. The release will be availabe Tuesday, November 8 at 10:00 EST.
Today I have a clean and simple Happy Winter card to share with you featuring the absolutely adorable image from the new Coolest Friends set. I created a snowy backdrop for this pair using the new Snowflake Flurry background set.
I stamped the image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with gel pens. I stamped one of the sentiments from the set onto the sign using the same Memento black ink. I used the coordinating Coolest Friends Die-namics to cut it out.
COPIC COLORS
Penguin: T0/3/5/7, R00, Y38 YR04
Snowman: B0000, R00, Y38 YR04, E31/34, T7
Red: R22/24/27/29
Blue: B0000/000/00/02
White/Shadows: T0
Sign: E41/31/34/35
For the background, I took a piece of Smooth White cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and and masked off the bottom half with some tape. I used Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Prize Ribbon Distress Oxide inks ink blend the background. After the ink dried, I treated the inked area with anti-static powder, I stamped the inked area with the new Snowflake Flurry Background stamp and Versamark Watermark ink. I applied white embossing powder before heat setting the embossing.
I trimmed the inked panel down to 3.75" x 5" and matted it with a piece of white cardstock and finally a Wild Cherry cardstock (4.25" x 5.5"). The colored image was adhered to the panel with foam tape for some dimension. Finally, I adhered the entire panel onto a Smooth White cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").
