MFT Stamps Color Challenge 204

Hello Crafty Friends! There's a new Color Challenge up on the My Favorite Things Stamps Blog. Come play along for a chance to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!

I have a clean and simple card to share with you today inspired by the new Color Challenge: Cotton Candy, Poppin’ Pink, Summer Splash and Gravel Gray. I created this heart design using the new Box of Chocolates Die-namics that I paired up with a sentiment from the new How to Say I Love You Stamp set.

I started by cutting 1/4” strips out of Cotton Candy, Poppin’ Pink and Summer Splash cardstock with my paper trimmer. I used a tape runner to apply some adhesive to a piece of Smooth White cardstock (4.25” x 5.5”). I adhered the cardstock strips to the panel. The excess on the sides of the panel were trimmed off with scissors.

With another piece of Smooth White cardstock, I diecut a heart-shaped window using the heart die from the new Box of Chocolates Die-namics. I used the same die to diecut the heart frame out of Gravel Gray cardstock. The largest of the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics to trim out the white panel with the heart window.

I selected one of the sentiments from the new How to Say I Love You stamp set to stamp onto the white panel with MFT Extreme Black ink.

Two pieces of white cardstock were adhered to the back of the white front panel -- one towards the top and one towards the bottom to add support to the panel in the areas will not be resting on top of the strips of colored cardstock. I adhered the front white panel to the panel with colored strips.

Finally, I adhered the finished panel to a top folding Smooth White card base (4.25" x 5.5"). I finished the card with a few sparkling clear sequins.
