MFT Stamps April Release Countdown Day 2

Hello, Crafty Friends! It's Day 2 of the MFT April Release Countdown! We're almost there! This awesome release is filled with so many fun products and will be available Tuesday, April 11 at 10:00 EDT.

Today I have a sweet birthday card to share with you featuring the new Cherry Blossom Die-namics and the Grow Together stamp set. I love that the petals of these Cherry Blossoms can be curled a bit to add so much dimension to your cards. 

First, I diecut the branch and all of the flowers using the Cherry Blossom Die-namics out of Smooth White, Princess Pink, Cotton Candy and Ripe Raspberry cardstock. I used an embossing tool to curl the edges of the flower petals a bit before assembling them with a combo of liquid adhesive and thin foam tape. I added a little white dots to the center with a gel pen.

I decided to use the chicks from the YUZU Hunny Bunny set as birds so I stamped a few onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images and the branch with Copic markers and accented with gel pens. I used the coordinating YUZU Hunny Bunny Die-namics to cut out the birds.

For the background, I took a piece of white card stock (4.25" x 5.5") and created a cloudy background with the Mini Cloud Edges stencil and some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. I trimmed the panel with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics. 

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Every Flavor of Happy set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of anti-static treated Ripe Raspberry cardstock. I added white embossing powder before heat setting the embossing. The sentiment was then trimmed out with one of the dies from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics. 

For the sub sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the new Grow Together stamp set directly onto the inked panel with MFT Extreme Black ink. 

I adhered the panel onto a piece of Ripe Raspberry cardstock (4.25" x 5.5"). I adhered the branch and flowers onto the panel with liquid adhesive. The birds and sentiment strip were adhered with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. 

Finally, I adhered the panel to a Smooth White cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").
