MFT Stamps April Release Countdown Day 4

 

Hello, Crafty Friends! I'm back for another sneak peek of the MFT April Release Countdown!  This release is filled with so many fun products and will be available Tuesday, April 6 at 10:00 EDT.

Today, I am sharing a sweet little card featuring the new YUZU In My Prayers. This is an incredible set with so many adorable images. I just love the cute YUZU illustrations! There were way too many images in this set for me to fit all in one card. Today I've chosen this boy theme for my card but the set has plenty of elements for a girl card as well.

First, I stamped the YUZU In My Prayers images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and highlighted with gel pens. I used the coordinating YUZU In My Prayers Die-namics to cut them out.

For the background, I took a piece of Lazy Day cardsctock (4.25" x 2.5") and adhered it to a piece of patterned paper from the Floor to Ceiling Paper Pad (4.25" x 5.5"). I cut a slim strip of Smooth White cardstock to add to the junction between the two papers to represent the white baseboard. 

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of anti-static treated Black Licorice cardstock. I added white embossing powder before heat setting the embossing. The sentiment was then trimmed out with a paper trimmer.

I adhered the colored images directly onto the background with liquid adhesive. I added the little boy, bear and the sentiment strip onto the panel with foam tape for a bit of interest and dimension. Finally, I adhered the panel onto a Smooth White cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").
