MFT Stamps May Release Countdown: Halfway to the Big Day & GIVEAWAY:

Hello, Crafty Friends! It's Day 3 of the MFT May Release Countdown! We're halfway there! This wonderful release is filled with so many amazing products and will be available Tuesday, May 9 at 10:00 EDT.

I have a sweet card to share with you today featuring the beautiful SY Peaceful Birds set that is illustrated by Stacey Yacula. This is a huge set filled with a large birdhouse, multiple images birds and leaves and an array of sentiments that make this set just perfect for so many different occasions. I used a few of the elements to create this little scene of pink birds. Aside from flamingos, I don't think I have ever had the chance to see a pink bird in real life. Have you?

I stamped the images from the SY Peaceful Birds stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with gel pens. I used the coordinating SY Peaceful Birds Die-namics to cut them out.

I diecut a circle using the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics and Smooth White cardstock. Spun Sugar and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks were used to ink blend a little color to the circle. I adhered the circle to a white panel trimmed with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics.

I adhered all of the colored images onto the panel. I popped up the birdhouse and the two top birds with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest.

For the sentiment, I stamped of one of the sentiments from the set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of anti-static treated Black Licorice cardstock. I added white embossing powder before heat setting the embossing. The sentiment was then trimmed out with one of the dies from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics. I adhered the sentiment strip to the panel with some foam tape.

I adhered the panel onto a piece of patterned paper from the new Houndstooth Bright Paper Pad before adhering the panel onto a Smooth White cardbase (4.25" x 5.5"). I finished the card with a few sparkling, clear sequins.
