Streamside Studios New Website Opening Instagram Hop & GIVEAWAY: Strawberry Cows

Hello Friends! I am so excited to be joining in the Streamside Studios’ New Website Grand Opening Celebration and Giveaway! You can visit the new website HERE. I have a fun birthday boxcard to share with you today featuring these adorable images from the Streamside Studios Strawberry Cows set! This set, beautifully illustrated by Shawne Arnold @shawnes_cards_and_art, is filled with so many super cute cow and strawberry images as well as some perfectly matched punny sentiments! ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿ“

Have a Berry MOO-velous Birthday! I decided to create a strawberry field mini slimline boxcard for these adorable cows to roam in. I think I might have figured it out … Strawberry Milk must come from strawberry-fed cows! What do you think? Where does Strawberry Milk come from??? ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿฅ›

I stamped the images from the Streamside Studios Strawberry Cows set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with gel pens before I fussy cut all of the images out.

COPIC COLORS
Cows: C00/0/1/3/5/7, R20, R0000/000/00
Strawberries: R20/21/22/24/29/39, YG01/03/17
Strawberry Milk: R20, R20/21/22/24, YG01/03/17

For the mini slimline boxcard, I took a piece of heavyweight 110 lb White cardstock and trimmed them into two panels 5” x 3.5”, two strips 7” x 1.5”, and three strips 5.5” x 1.75”. I used MFT Slimline Grassy Hills Die-namics to trim a grassy edge onto each of the three 5.5" strips.

For the back panel, I used the MFT Slimline Cloud Edges stencil and some Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks to create a cloudy background onto one of the white panels. Once the panel was dried, I trimmed the edges down to create a 4.75" x 3.25" panel. Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink was used to ink up the grassy strips. Be sure to ink up all of the backside of the grassy strips also since it may be visible in the boxcard.

For the 7” strips, I used a scoring board to score at the 0.5” and 5.5” marks. For the 5.5” grassy strips, I scored both ends at 0.25”. The longer strips were folded and adhered with liquid adhesive to create the base of the boxcard. The shorter strips became the grassy shelves. I assembled the remainder of the boxcard with liquid adhesive.

For the decorative panels on the outside of the box, I cut some additional strips of white cardstock: one 4.75" x 1.25" and two 1.5" squares which I ink blended with the same Mowed Lawn ink to match my grass. I also cut a piece of matching red cardstock to 4.5" x 1". I layered and adhered the strips to the boxcard.

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments onto a piece of white cardstock (4.25" x 0.75") and adhered it to the front of the boxcard. Finally, I decorated the box with all of my colored images. I love that the whole boxcard folds flat to a 3.5” x 6.5” dimension. Because some of my colored elements extended beyond the box a bit, I was able to fit the entire card into a standard A7 (for a 5" x 7" card) perfectly.

As always, I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my boxcard. Now for the GIVEAWAY ...
