Hello, Crafty Friends! Today we are Spotlighting the new Stacey Yacula Christmas Carols set. I just love the classic Santa and Mrs. Claus in the beautiful Stacey Yacula style illustration.
We Wish You a Merry Christmas! I have a sweet Christmas card with you today featuring these festive carolers from the new SY Christmas Carols set. I have paired them up with the new Stitched Rounded Arch STAX Die-namics for a simple snow globe-like wintery scene.
I stamped the images from the SY Christmas Carols set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with gel pens. I used the coordinating SY Christmas Carols Die-namics to cut them out.
COPIC COLORS:
Skin: E000/00/21/11/93
Gray Hair/Beard: C00/1
Brown Hair: E33
Santa's suit: R22/24/29/39, N0/1, W5/7, Y15
Mrs. Claus' Coat: R22/24/29/39, N0/1, YG03/17
Elf"s Clothes: R22/24/29/39, YG01/03/17, W5/7, Y15
Black Gloves/Shoes: W5/7
For the background, I used a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and taped off the very bottom of the panel to create a snow bank. I used some Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress Oxide ink to ink blend a subtle background. A white gel pen was used to create some snow in the sky.
I took another piece of white cardstock and trimmed it with the second largest die from the new Stitched Rounded Arch STAX Die-namics. I stamped of one of the sentiments from the set directly onto the panel with MFT Extreme Black ink. Foam tape was added to the back of the panel before it was adhered to the front of the ink blended panel.
I adhered Santa and Mrs. Claus onto the inked panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension. The elf was adhered directly onto the arch panel with liquid adhesive.
Finally, I adhered the panel to a Smooth White cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").
As always, I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my card. I'll be back tomorrow to share more from this amazing release. Please also visit my INSTAGRAM feed for more inspirations.
Have an awesome and crafty day!
