Hello, Crafty Friends! WooHoo! The MFT January Release is here! This fun-filled and amazing release is now available for purchase! Be sure to visit the MFT Shop and blog for more details and inspirations.

Sending a Monster-sized Hug! I have a fun and fairly clean and simple card to share with you featuring the new Jenoblade Monster Love set. Aren’t these just the cutest?! And so perfect for all sorts of cards … Valentine’s Day, birthday, love notes, Thinking of You just to name a few. Oh they would make great coloring cards for kids too! I decided to make a clean and simple card today to give all of the attention to these adorable little monsters that were so beautifully illustrated by Jenoblade. I decided to make a clean and simple card today to give all of the attention to these adorable little monsters.

I stamped the images from the JB Monster Love set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with gel pens. I used the coordinating JB Monster Love Stamps & Dies Duo to cut them out.

COPIC COLORS
Light Pink: RV000/00/02
Dark Pink: RV02/04/09
Light Blue: B0000/000/00/02
Dark Blue: B000/00/02/04
Red: R22/24/29
Purple: V000/01/12/15/17/09
Green: YG00/01/03/17
White: C1
Shadow: N0/1/3

I used the Impact Alphabet Die-namics to diecut the letters for the word HUG out of Licorice Black cardstock two times. I layered and adhered them with liquid adhesive for a bit of dimension.

For the background, I took a piece of white card stock (4.25" x 5.5") and  trimmed it with the largest die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Set 2 Die-namics.  I temporarily laid out my letters and colored images onto the panel to figure out the placement of the first portion of my sentiment.

Once I was happy with the placement, I masked off part of one of the sentiments from the set. I inked and stamped the partial sentiment directly onto the panel with MFT Extreme Black ink.

I adhered the letters and colored images onto the panel with liquid adhesive. I added a little shadowing with Copic markers to ground the elements.

The panel was adhered to a Black Licorice cardstock before it was adhered to a white card base (4.25" x 5.5").
