MFT Stamps Vault Release Spotlight: Blueprint 28, Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX & Heart STAX Die-namics
Hello Crafty Friends! Today we are back to spotlight the MFT January Vault Release. Be sure to check out the MFT blog and shop for all of the newly released products and inspirations!
You ♥️ Me. We are Mint to Be! I had so much fun playing with these playful Birdie Brown mice yesterday that I am back with a fun pop-up slider card to share with you featuring some fun dies from the Vault. I have always wanted to try making a pop-up slider card but I'm not sure why I never got around to buying a die for it. I was so ecstatic to see the Blueprint 28 Die-namics being released! With just a couple of score lines, double-sided tape and foam tape, I was able to transform this die into a pop-up slider!
I stamped the images from the Mice Day to Celebrate onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with gel pens. I used the coordinating Mice Day to Celebrate Die-namics to cut them out with.
COPIC COLORS
Mice: E50/51/53/33, R000/30, W7
Green: YG01/03/17
I diecut the front panel out of white cardstock using the second largest die from the Jumbo Fishtail Banner STAX Die-namics. Then I used the second smallest die from the Heart STAX Die-namics to diecut a window from the center of the banner.
I diecut the necessary letters from the Modern Serif Alphabet Die-namics out of Ripe Raspberry cardstock. I also diecut some mints from the Candy Jar Die-namics out of white and Ripe Raspberry cardstock. I colored the green stripes on the mints with a Copic marker (YG03) to match the mouse.
I assembled and adhered the colored images, letters and mints to the banner as shown in the picture.
For the slider mechanism, I diecut the large panel from the Blueprint 28 Die-namics out of Ripe Raspberry cardstock. I also used two pieces of white cardstock: 3" x 4 7/8" and 4" x 5 1/4". For the pink panel, I used my scoreboard to score 2 lines onto the flip panel in the center. Measuring from the bottom edge of the entire stitched panel, I scored at 7/8" and then again at 2 3/4" ONLY on the center flip panel. With the smaller white panel, I used the "PULL" sentiment from the Interactive Label stamp set to stamp at the upper edge with MFT Extreme Black ink. With the larger white panel, I used the pink panel to align and stamp one of the sentiments from the Candy Jar Companions set onto the bottom half of the white panel for the inside sentiment.
On the back side of the pink panel, I adhered some double-sided tape to the bottom edge of the flip panel. I carefully lined up and adhered the smaller white panel to this taped edge making sure that the stamped "PULL" showed on the front side of the card, the panel was center from left to right and that the bottom edge aligned with the taped bottom edge of the flap. Then I added foam tape to the back side of the pink panel along the 2 sides and bottom only to create a channel for the slider -- while making sure that the tape did not get in the way of the smaller white panel's movement. Finally, I adhered the larger white panel to the foam tape making sure that the inside sentiment shows from the front of the card.
From the front side of the pink panel, I adhered some double sided tape to the bottom half of the flap before adhering the fishtail banner to it. Be sure to not extend the banner beyond the bottom score line. Finally, I adhered the entire card to a white cardbase (4" x 5 1/4").
As always, I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my card. Please also visit my INSTAGRAM feed for more inspirations.
