MFT Stamps April Release Countdown: YUZU Playful Pups

 

Hello, Crafty Friends! I'm sharing another sneak peek from the MFT April Release Countdown! This is such an amazing release! So many adorable stamp sets and beautiful dies! Guess what? The April Release will be available tomorrow, Tuesday, April 30 at 10:00 am EDT.

Stay Cool, Friend! I have a fun and sweet card to share with you today featuring this super cute pup from the new YUZU Playful Pups set. This is an absolutely adorable set with so many awesome images. But this particular pup image ... and matching fan just stole my heart! ❤️ 

I stamped the images from the YUZU Playful Pups stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with gel pens. I used the coordinating YUZU Playful Pups Die-namics dies to cut out the images.

COPIC COLORS

Pup: E0000/000/00/21, E21/23/25/27, E27/29, R22/24, W7

Red: R22/24/29

Black: W5/7

Yellow: Y13

Shadow: T3

For the background, I took a piece of white cardstock (4" x 5.25") and repeatedly stamped a few of the images from the set with Memento London Fog ink. 

I used the second largest die from the Stitched Scallop Circle Frame STAX Die-namics to diecut a circle out of white cardstock. I used tape to mask off masked the bottom part of the white circle. Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink was used to ink blend just a hint of color to the background. I added some dots with a white gel pen for some interest.

I used the largest of the Stitched Pinking Edge Circle STAX Die-namics to diecut a circle out of Red Hot cardstock. I adhered the colored image to the inked white circle and the white circle to the red circle with liquid adhesive. 

For the sentiment, I stamped of one of the sentiments from the set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of anti-static treated Black Licorice cardstock. I added white embossing powder before heat setting the embossing. The sentiment was then trimmed out with one of the dies from the Blueprints 27 Die-namics. 

The background panel was adhered to a piece of Red Hot cardstock. I adhered the red circle and sentiment strip to the background panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. Finally, I adhered the panel to a white card base (4.25" x 5.5").
