Sweet November Stamps: Ghoulish Greetings Release: Hilde

Hello, Crafty Friends! The Ghoulish Greetings Clear Stamp Release from Sweet November Stamps is here! There are 14 fun stamp sets and 4 new sequin mixes to celebrate all things Halloween available in the shop. Today I am hopping along on the INSTA-HOP & GIVEAWAY (details below) to celebrate these new Halloween themed stamps and embellishments.

It's the Most Spooktacular Time of the Year! I'm going to be honest, I usually don't make too many Halloween cards but the stamps and sequin mixes in this Release were way too cute for me to pass up. I immediately fell in love with this adorable new SNS Hilde set! How sweet is she perched up on top of this pile of pumpkins, right?

I stamped the image from the SNS Hilde set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with gel pens. I fussy cut out the image.

For the background, I took a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and and applied a circle mask that I created by diecutting a piece of masking paper with a 2.75" circle die. Then I used Tumbled Glass, Prized Ribbon and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks to ink blend a night sky onto the background. Once the ink was dried, I added snow to the entire panel with a combination of Copic Opaque White ink and a white gel pen.

Confession: that was the very first time that I used this bottle of Copic Opaque White ink which I purchased over 5 years ago! I wanted some bright stark white stars so I decided to apply the Copic white ink directly onto my panel with the little brush that comes with the nail-polish-like bottle. Mistake! The bristles of the brush were uneven and ended up making not-so-round dots. I couldn't bear to throw away my inked panel so I kept it -- but lesson learned for next time I use that Copic Opaque White ink.

For the sentiment, I partially stamped of one of the sentiments from the set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of anti-static treated black cardstock. I added white embossing powder before heat setting the embossing. I used a grassy die to trim the top edge to create a little hill. I adhered this to the bottom edge of my inked panel with liquid adhesive.

Finally, I adhered the little witch onto the panel with some foam tape before adhering the entire panel to a white cardbase (4/25" x 5.5").
