Gerda Steiner Designs: Woodland Holiday Friends

Hello Crafty Friends! I am so excited to be back on the Gerda Steiner Designs blog today to share a circle shaped Christmas card featuring this adorable new Woodland Holiday Friends set. Aren’t these critters just the cutest?! This fun set is part of the upcoming Christmas Release that is arriving tomorrow, October 1st.

First, I stamped the images onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen. I fussy cut each of the images.

COPIC COLORS:
Fox: YR20/21/24/27, R00/20
Reindeer: E51/53, E40/41/42, R20, R24/29, W5/7

Bear: E50/51/53/33/99/35, E25/27/29, R20
Bunny: C00/0/1, R00/20
Hedgehog: E51/53, E25/27, R20
Mouse: W00/0/1/3
Tree: YG03/17/67
Star: Y13/15
Santa's Clothes/Hat/Scarf: C0/1, R24/27/29/39
Santa's Shoes/Gloves: W3/5/7
Green Scarves: YG01/03/17

I used the largest die (5.5”) from the A2 Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics to diecut 2 circles: one out of a red and one out of white cardstock. I used a score board to score a line at the 0.5” mark on the white circle. I used a strong double-sided tape to adhere that 0.5” segment of the white circle, onto the back of the red circle to create a cardbase. The white back half of the cardbase gave me some room to stamp or write a message to the recipient.

I used the second largest die (5”) from the same die set to diecut  2 circles out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. I used a curvy slope die from my stash to diecut one of the white circles in half to represent the snowbank. I lightly ink blended the white circle and semi-circle with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink.

I stamped one of the sentiments from the set directly onto the white semi-circle with VersaFine Onyx Black ink.

I adhered the white circle and semi-circle to each other and then onto the front of the red circle. Finally, I adhered all of the colored images onto the card front.

As always, I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my card.  I had so much fun coloring up this adorable Woodland Holiday Friends Clear Stamp set and truly appreciated this amazing opportunity to Guest Design again for GSD. Be sure to check out the GSD shop tomorrow, October 1, 2024, for the full Christmas Release! Please also visit my INSTAGRAM feed for more inspirations.

Have a wonderful and crafty day!
