Alex Syberia Designs October Release Blog Hop & Giveaway

Hello, Crafty Friends! I am so excited to be Guest Designing for Alex Syberia Designs to showcase some exciting new products from the Grateful for You October Release. I am thrilled to also be a part of the Alex Syberia Designs Release BLOG HOP & GIVEAWAY (details below) to celebrate this amazing release that is now available for shopping. Please visit the Alex Syberia Designs Shop for more info and inspirations.

I had so much fun playing with this release! Today, I have two cards to share with you. So let's get started.

Resting Isn't Lazy. Stay Cozy! For my first card, I have a postage stamp style card featuring these absolutely adorable penguins from the new Smile More set. This is such a fun set. Take a look at those super cute bunny slippers!

I stamped the images from the Smile More Clear Stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the image with Copic markers and accented with gel pens. I used the coordinating Smile More Dies to cut them out.

COPIC COLORS
Penguins: T3/5/7, W00/0/1, Y38, R000/20
Couch: E30/21/11/13/15/17
Table: E11/13/15/17/18
Books: R24/28, B24/26, E21, YG03
Cup: R20
Sippers: C0/1, R2000/20

For my background, I used the Postage Stamps Cover Die to diecut a panel out of white cardstock. I used the Postage Stamps Stencil to mask and lightly ink blended with Tumbled Glass Distess Oxide ink.

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Smile More and the Stay Cozy stamp sets with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used one of the coordinating Smile More Dies and Stay Cozy Dies to diecut them out.

I adhered the sentiments and the colored images onto the panel with liquid adhesive and foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. I added foam tape behind the panel before adhering it to a red panel diecut with the largest die from the Good Day Quilted Rectangles Die Set. I adhered the panel to a red cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").

Let the Music Heal Your Soul! For my second card, I have a sweet card featuring the adorable Stay Cozy set paired up with the Tiny Hearts Cover Die. These are both so sweet and seemed just perfect to be combined together.

  11. Hi there. These cards are fantastic. Can you tell me how you die cut the postage background without cutting the holes in the middle of the bottom panel? I absolutely love this but can’t figure out how you did it. Thanks.
