Sunny Studio Stamps: Distinctive Door Holiday Add-on

Hello Crafty Friends! I'm on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today to share this fun Christmas card featuring the Distinctive Door Dies and the Distinctive Door Holiday Add-on Dies. I had so much fun playing with these Distinctive Door and Holiday Add-on Dies and creating a house for these penguins that I was completely tempted to go out and start putting up the Christmas decorations on my own house.

I stamped the penguins from the Penguin Party Stamps set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Penguin Party Dies to diecut them out. I also used the Distinctive Door Holiday Add-on Dies to diecut two trees and a wreath out of the same Neenah cardstock. I colored them with Copic markers and accented them with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Penguins: T3/5/7, Y38 YR04, W0, R000/30
Hats: R24/29
Scarf: YG03/17
Trees/Wreath: YG03/25/17

diecut the remaining door and the accessories from the Distinctive Door DIes and DIstinctive Door Holiday Add-on Dies from a piece of white, yellow, green and red cardstock. I also used silver cardstock for the door hardware and white glitter cardstock to represent the snow. I lightly colored the windows and lights with Copic markers (Y000/21) for a bit of dimension and realism.

For the background, I took a piece of gray cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and added a slim strip of white glitter cardstock to the bottom edge for the snowy ground. I assembled the elements of the door and adhered them to the panel with a combination of liquid adhesive and foam tape. I used a white gel pen to add highlights to all of the elements.

Finally, I attached the panel to a white top folding cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").
