Hello, Crafty Friends! The Pretty Pink Posh May Release is here and I am so excited to be Guest Designing to showcase some exciting new products. This beautiful release is filled with hummingbird, floral and teacup themed stamps, stencils, embellishments and some amazing new dies.
I had so much fun playing with Release that I made several cards to share with you today. So let's get started.

You're an Amazing Friend! My first card features the new Spring Floral Dies. This is a super fun die set with a variety of flowers and stems that can be easily mixed and matched. For this card, I used one of the smallest blooms and paired them with these curvy stems that remind me of Lily of the Valley flowers. I'm not sure if they really exist in this color in the real world but in my card making world, I was in the mood for some dainty pink flowers today.
These Spring Floral Dies can be easily diecut out of a variety of colored cardstocks of your choice. But I decided to diecut them out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock, color them with Copic markers and highlight them with a white gel pen for bit of dimension.
COPIC COLORS:
Flowers: RV000/10/21/13
Stems/Leaves: YG01/03/17
For the background, I used the new Scallops Pierced Plate Die to add a subtle scallop pattern to a piece of light pink cardstock (4.25" x 5.5"). I trimmed a thin strip off the edge, added a piece of craft foam to the back side before adhering the panel to a white A2 card base.
For the sentiment, I diecut a piece of white cardstock using the beautiful new Notched Squares Dies. I stamped one of the sentiments from the new Friend Greetings Stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I adhered the square to the pink panel with foam tape.
I arranged and adhered the flower stems with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. I finished the card with a few Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix.
Happy Mother's Day! My second card features the amazing new Shadow Box Dies. This is truly an awesome set! In addition to the die that cuts the shadow box panels, there are dies to create shelves for the box as well as cloud, grass and wavy edges. There are two more dies in the set. One is a scallop rectangle die. The other is a stitched rectangle die that can be used to diecut a window on the shadow box or it can be used to diecut a small rectangular panel or it can be used in conjunction with the scallop rectangle die to diecut a scallop frame for the shadow box. All of the dies from this set can be mix and matched to create different designs on the shadow box or to create lone standing rectangular panels. The combinations are endless.
I used the Shadow Box Dies to diecut two of the box panels and several strips of grassy edge out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock. The stitched rectangle panel die from the set was used to diecut a window out of one of the box panels. I masked off the sides and lightly inked the inside of the other box panel with some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink for a subtle background. The grassy strips were inked with some Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink.
The grassy strips were used to create shelves as well as decorate the outside of the shadow box. The die set comes with a shelf die and a panel of grassy edge can be adhered to the front of the shelf but I decided to make my own shelves directly with the grassy strips for a slimmer profile. For the shelves, I trimmed the grassy strips to 4" wide. I used a score board to score at the 0.5" mark on both ends. I folded along the score line to create tabs for the shelves.
I folded along the scoreline of the shadow box panels. I added strips of strong double sided tape to the tabs on both of the shadow box panels and the grassy shelves and assembled the box.
For the rest of the decorations, I used the Spring Floral Dies to diecut several flowers and stems out of the Neenah white cardstock. I stamped one of the beautiful hummingbird images from the new Hummingbird Floral set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Hummingbird Floral Dies to cut it out.
I colored the hummingbird and flowers with Copic markers and highlight them with a white gel pen for bit of dimension.
COPIC COLORS:
Hummingbird: B000/00/02/04, YG0000/00/01/03, T3
Flowers: RV000/10/21/13/14
Stems/Leaves: YG01/03/17
For the sentiment, I stamped the sentiment from the new Upright Greetings: Occasions Stamps onto a piece of white cardstock. I used the sentiment strip dies from the Sentiment Strips Dies to diecut the strips. I used a Copic marker (B00) to color the edges.
I decorated the shadow box as shown in the pictures and added a small bow with white twine.
I love the fun 3D dimensions of this card and the fact that it can be folded and flattened to fit perfectly into an A2 envelope for mailing.
Hello Friend! I had so much fun playing with these sets that I created my third card showcasing the new Hummingbird Floral, Spring Floral Dies Scallops Pierced Plate and Shadow Box Dies.
I stamped, diecut and colored the hummingbird from the Hummingbird Floral set in the same manner as I did in my second card.
The flowers were diecut using the Spring Floral Dies in the same manner as the first two cards but this time, I decided to ink them up with Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks. Once the ink was dry, I highlighted with a white gel pen and assembled with a combo of liquid adhesive and thin foam squares for a bit of dimension.
For the background, I used the new Scallops Pierced Plate on a piece of light blue cardstock in the same manner as the first card. Next, I used the Shadow Box Dies to diecut a small scalloped rectangle out of white cardstock. I adhered the layers using craft foam for a bit of dimension.
For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Hummingbird Floral Stamp set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. The sentiment was then trimmed out with one of the dies from the Sentiment Strip Dies.
I adhered the bird, flowers and sentiment strip to the background as shown in the pictures with a combo of liquid adhesive and foam tape for a dimension and interest.
Enjoy Your Special Day! My last card features the sweet new Tea Time set. This fun set has a plain teapot and two teacup images that you can be used as solid color images or decorated with the variety of floral images available in the set.
I stamped images from the new Tea Time set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Tea Time Dies to cut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.
COPIC COLORS:
Tea pot/cup: RV0000/10, RV000/10/21, RV10/14, Y06, YG01/03
Cake: E51/53/55, RV000/10, R05/24/29, YG03
For the background, I diecut pink and white cardstock using the Eyelet Rectangles Dies and the new Notched Squares Dies. I adhered the layers using craft foam for a bit of dimension.
For the sentiment, I stamped the Special Note sentiment from the Tea Time set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and diecut it out using the coordinating Tea Time Dies. For the sub sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiments from the same set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. The sentiment was then trimmed out with one of the dies from the Sentiment Strip Dies.
I adhered the colored images and sentiment to the panel using foam squares for added dimension. I finished the card with a few Sparkling Clear Confetti Mix.
