Simon Says Stamp: Friend Like You Release Blog Hop Day 1 & GIVEAWAY

This is such an amazing release. I had so much fun playing with this Release and have created several cards to share with you today. So let's get started. 

For my first card, I have a shark themed birthday card to share with you showcasing the adorable new Snappy Birthday set that is beautifully illustrated by Jenny @jenoblade_. 

I stamped the images from the Snappy Birthday Stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

Umbrella/Ball: R02/05/24/29, B000/00/02, Y11/13/15, C1

Rock: N0/1/3/5

Kelp: YG01/03/17

Seashell: RV00

For the background, I took a piece of white cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and masked off the two sides. I ink blended Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Uncharted Mariners, Antique Linen and Brushed Corduroy Distress Oxide inks. I used the Salty Ocean Distress Oxide to stamp a few bubbles onto the white space. I added some dots to the sand with a Copic marker (E33).

For the sentiment, I stamped one of the sentiment from the set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I trimmed it out with a sentiment strip die.

I adhered the rock to the panel with liquid adhesive. I adhered the rest of the colored images with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. The panel was adhered to a white A2 cardbase. 

Our Friendship Means the World to Me! My second card showcases the beautiful new Wildflower Cuttings Stamp set. 

I stamped one of the leafy images from the Wildflower Cuttings set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of pink cardstock (4.25" x 5.5") and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I repeated the process on the other end of the panel. 

I stamped the same image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored with Copic markers (YG01/03/25) and highlighted with a white gel pen. I fussy cut the image out.

I took another piece of Neenah white cardstock and stamped one of the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I matted the strip with a slightly larger piece of pink cardstock. I adhered the strip to the pink panel with foam tape. 

The colored image and some Sparkling Clear Confetti were adhered to the panel with the new Craft Glue. Finally, I adhered the panel to a white A2 cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").

Thinking of You Today and Always! My last card showcases the beautiful new Delicate Wildflower Wafer Dies. 

I diecut the die out of white cardstock and colored the pieces with Copic markers to achieve the desired colors.

Flowers: YR12/14/16, Y13

Stem/Leaves: YG01/03

For the background, I used an arch die to diecut a window out of a piece of light blue cardstock. Then I used the next smaller arch die to diecut a window out of a piece of white cardstock. I adhered the panels to each other, then to a piece of white cardstock. I stamped one of the sentiments from the Wildflower Cuttings Stamp set.

I adhered the diecut flowers with Craft Glue. 

The panels were adhered to a white A2 cardbase. I finished the card with a few Sea Star Embellishment and Sparkling Clear Confetti.
