Hello Crafty Friends! I'm on the Pretty Pink Posh Blog today with a fun Halloween card featuring these adorable Halloween Cake Pops in a Candy Bucket with Halloween Bucket Additions Dies.
I started by making my background using the Crackle Background Stencil and lightly ink blending with Dried Marigold and Carved Pumpkin Distress Oxide inks onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock. Once the panel was dry, I trimmed it down to 4" x 5.25" and adhered it to a white A2 cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").
Next, I diecut all of the elements from the Halloween Cake Pops Dies, Candy Bucket Dies and Halloween Bucket Additions Dies with white and colored cardstock. This Halloween Cake Pops Die set is just the cutest. There is a variety of fun cake pop shapes and decorations to choose from. There is even a square shaped one that I have used to create Frankenstein's head. The square one can also be easily used to make marshmallow pops. The possibilities are endless!
Do you like candy corn? To be honest, I have never been a huge fan of the taste of candy corn but I LOVE to decorate with them. They make the perfect decoration for Halloween. They are inexpensive and the pop of vibrant colors is just so fun and festive. I love that the Halloween Bucket Additions Dies comes with two different options for these candy corn. There is one die that diecuts each candy into three separate pieces allowing for a perfect diecut with colored cardstock. And there's a solid candy corn die that diecuts the entire candy and embosses dash lines to distinguish the three layers of colors. I opted to use the solid one with the embossed lines today. I diecut them out of a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock and colored them with Copic markers (C1, Y38 YR04, Y13/15).
I assembled the candy bucket and all of the cake pops and adhered them to the inked background. I added some blush to the ghost (Copic R20) and highlighted all of the elements with a white gel pen.
For the sentiment, I stamped the "No Tricks, Just Treats" sentiment from the Spider Friends Stamp set with Versamark Watermark ink onto a piece of black cardstock and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. I used one of the dies from the Sentiment Strips Dies set to diecut it out. I adhered it to the panel with some foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest.
As always, I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my card. Please also visit my INSTAGRAM feed for more inspirations.
