Simon Says Stamp: Sugar And Spice Release

Hello Crafty Friends! The Simon Says Stamp Sugar And Spice Release is here! 🎉 I am so excited to be participating in this amazing release! Be sure to check out the entire new Sugar And Spice Release for more inspirations.

I had so much fun playing with this amazing Release and will be sharing several cards from this release. Today, I have a fun Christmas card to share with you showcasing the adorable and mischievous cats from the new Christmas Cats set The set is beautifully illustrated by Jenny @jenoblade_ and features the cutest crew of holiday cats!

I started by creating the background. I used one of the two stencils in the new Large Snowflake Cutouts Stencil set, Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide inks to ink blend the snowflake image onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock.

I stamped the images from the Christmas Cats Stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored it with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen. I fussy cut the images out.

COPIC COLORS:
Cats: YR30 Y21 YR21/24, R20
Tree: YG03/25/17, E33/35
Hat: R24/29, C1
Gift: YG03, R24/29
Yellow: Y06/08
Red: R24/29
Pink: RV13

For the sentiment, I stamped the "Merry Mischief" sentiment from the set directly onto the inked panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I trimmed the panel down to 4" x 5.25" and adhered it to piece of red cardstock before adhering it to a white A2 cardbase (4.25" x 5.5"). I adhered the colored images onto the panel with some foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest.
