Hello Crafty Friends! I'm on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today sharing a fun and punny Christmas card featuring these sweet mice from the Merry Mice and Harvest Mice sets. I love how the two sets play so well together.
I stamped the images from the Merry Mice Stamps, Harvest Mice Stamps and a few hollies from the Hedgey Holidays Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used the coordinating Merry Mice Dies, Harvest Mice Dies, and Hedgey Holidays Dies to diecut them out. I colored them with Copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen.
COPIC COLORS:
Mice: E51/53/33, R000/00/20, R20, E25
Red: R14/24/29/39
Green: YG01/03/17
Yellow: Y13/15/19
White: C1
For the layout, I used the Comic Strip Everyday Dies to diecut a panel out of white and red cardstock. I used only the inside parts from the white and the frame from the red panels. I lightly ink blended the edges of the white pieces with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide ink. I adhered the red frame and inked white pieces onto the front of a white A2 cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").
For the sentiment, I used the colored images to roughly layout my design and align my sentiment. I stamped the "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmouse" from the Merry Mice Stamps directly onto the front panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
Finally, I adhered the colored images onto the front panel with a combination of liquid glue and foam squares for a bit of dimension and interest.
