Simon Says Stamp: DieCember Release

Hello Crafty Friends! The Simon Says Stamp DieCember Release is here! 🎉 This is such an amazing release. Be sure to check out the entire new DieCember Release for more inspirations.

I had so much fun playing with this Release and have created several cards and tags to share with you today. So let's get started.

Hello! For my first card, I have a sweet card to share with you showcasing the new Classic Leaf Ring Die and the Basic Shapes Squares Dies. I am already in love with this set of square dies! This amazing set of 19 dies ranges from 0.5" to 5.5". I absolutely love square cards so I know that I will be reaching for this set often. But it can also be used for so many other designs as I have used it here to decorate an A2 sized card.

I used two consecutive dies from the new Basic Shapes Squares Dies to diecut two squares out of white cardstock. A piece of craft foam was adhered to the back of the smaller one before it was adhered to the larger square. The squares were then adhered to a piece of pink cardstock (4.25" x 5.5").

Next, I used the Classic Leaf Ring Die to diecut the wreath out of green cardstock. I adhered the wreath to the center of the smaller white square with liquid adhesive.

For the sentiment, I diecut the Hello banner die from the Little Banners Basics Dies out of white and pink cardstock. I popped the letters out of both banners. A piece of Scotch tape was adhered to the back of the pink banner. I inlaid the white letters into the pink banner while making sure to insert the pink center back into the letter O.

The pink banner was adhered to the center of the wreath with foam tape. The panel was adhered to a white A2 card base (4.25" x 5.5").

Love You! My second card features the beautiful new Jewel Heart Dies and the Basic Shapes Squares Dies. I love the intricate design on this heart diecut and it comes with a slightly larger heart die that can be used as a shadow die or a stand alone heart die.

I started by using the Basic Shapes Squares Dies to diecut 4 squares out of light pink, green, blue and lavender cardstock. I adhered them to a piece of black cardstock (5.5" x 5.5").

Next I used the new Jewel Heart Dies to diecut 4 solid hearts out of white cardstock and 4 detailed hearts out of pink, green, teal and purple cardstock. I layered and adhered the colored hearts to the white shadow hearts and then to the coordinating squares on the panel.

For the sentiment, I used the Little Banners Basics Dies to diecut the Love You banner out of white and pink cardstock and the shadow banner die out of black cardstock. I popped the letters out of the white and pink banners. I adhered white banner to the black shadow banner. I inlaid the pink letters into the white banner while making sure to insert the white centers back into the letter O.

The sentiment banner was adhered to the center of the panel with foam tape. The panel was adhered to a white square card base (5.5" x 5.5").

Hugs! My third card, I decided to create a cute little square card also featuring the beautiful new Jewel Heart Dies and the Basic Shapes Squares Dies

I started by using the Basic Shapes Squares Dies to diecut 2 squares out of pinked and white cardstock. I adhered a piece of craft foam to the back side of the white square before I adhered it to the center of the pink square.

Next I used the new Jewel Heart Dies to diecut a heart out of white and hot pink cardstock. I layered and adhered the hearts to each other for a bit of dimension and then to center of the white square on the panel.

For the sentiment, I used the Giggle Hugs Dies to diecut the "Hugs" 3 times out of white cardstock. I layered and adhered the Hugs to each other for a bit of dimension and then to center of the pink heart on the panel.

The panel was adhered to a white square card base (4.25" x 4.25").

Holly Jolly! For my last project, I decided to make some Christmas tags with the new Jingle All the Way Stamp set and the Basic Shapes Squares Dies. I love the retro look of this stamp set. And the square dies came to the rescue for some quick tags.

I started by using the Basic Shapes Squares Dies to diecut 3 squares out of white cardstock.

I stamped the images from the Jingle All the Way Stamp set onto the 3 squares with Candied Apple and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks. I used the same inks to lightly ink blend the edges of each of the tags.

Finally, I used a small hole puncher to punch the holes and added the twine.
