Pretty Pink Posh January Release IG Hop & GIVEAWAY

Hello, Crafty Friends! The Pretty Pink Posh January Release Instagram Hop is here and I am so excited to be joining in Day 2 of the IG Hop fun. More IG Hop info below.

Happy Valentine's Day! I have a fun Valentine's Day card to share with you today featuring the new Bear Holder Dies with his arms extended wide to hold this huge Heart Card Base Dies. I paired these fun dies up with several new products: Valentine Banner Greetings, Banner Greetings 2 Dies, Valentine Word Scenes, Box of Chocolates Dies, Love Words Stencil and Pinking Rectangles Dies So let's get started.

I used the Bear Holder Dies to diecut the bear and all of the facial features as well as two extra nose pieces which I have used to represent his paws since the heart that he is holding is way too big for his intended paws to hold, out of Neenah Solar White and black cardstock. I stamped XOXO sentiment from the new Valentine Word Scenes Stamp onto a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock and used the coordinating Valentine Word Scenes Dies to diecut it out.  I colored the bear, sentiment and hearts with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Bear: E50/51/53/33/99, R000/20
Red: R14/24
Pink: RV000/10/21

For the heart, I used the Heart Card Base Dies to diecut the large heart card base, the inner heart and two hole reinforcements out of pink and white cardstock. I used the small circle die to diecut a hole in each one of the front flaps of the heart card base to later secure the twine. I folded the heart card base along the dotted lines and adhered the inner heart and hole reinforcements with liquid glue. I decorated the inside with the colored XOXO sentiment and some tiny hearts diecut out of red cardstock using a die from the Box of Chocolates Dies. I also secured the little bear paws on each side of the heart card base with liquid glue. I used some twine from my stash to close the front flaps of the heart card base.

For the sentiment, I stamped the "Happy Valentine's Day" sentiment from the new Valentine Banner Greetings Stamp set onto a piece of white cardstock with Versafine Satin Red ink. I used one of the dies from the new Banner Greetings 2 Dies to diecut it out. I secured the banner to the front of the pink card base making sure to only adhere the glue to the left side of banner and front flap so that the heart can still open.

For the background, I used the largest die from the new Pinking Rectangles Dies to diecut a panel out of white cardstock. I masked off the edges of the panel with masking tape and lightly inked the background with the Love Words Stencil and Saltwater Taffy Distress Oxide ink. I adhered the panel to a piece of pink cardstock.

I adhered the beard heart card base to the inked panel with liquid glue. Finally, the panel was adhered to a white A2 cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").
