Sunny Studio Stamps: Monkey Business

Hello Crafty Friends! I'm on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I am thrilled to share a fun birthday card showcasing the adorable new Monkey Business set from the latest Summer Release! This super cute set has an array of the most adorable monkeys. My A2-sized card was not nearly big enough to feature all of them. And just for the record, I had the hardest time to deciding which monkeys to play with first as they are all so super cute! Which one is your favorite?

I stamped the images from the Monkey Business Stamps, some balloon and present images from the Party Pets Stamps and a present image from the Foxy Friends Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Monkey Business DiesParty Pets Dies and the Foxy Friends Dies to diecut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Monkeys: E000/00/21/11/93, E33/35/99
Small bananas: Y11/13/15, E50
Pink: RV000/10/21/13/14
Yellow: Y000/11/13/15/19
Green: YG00/01/03/25

For the background, I used the circle dies from the Stitched Circle Small Dies as well as the Stitched Circled Large Dies to diecut three windows into a piece of white cardstock (4.25” x 5.5”). I used the panel as a guide to lightly ink blend a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock with some Spun Sugar Distress Oxide ink to place behind this window-panel. I adhered the two panels to each other with foam tape.

For the sentiment, I stamped the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Party Pets Stamps set with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of white cardstock and used the coordinating Party Pets Dies to diecut it out.

A slim strip of patterned paper from the Spring Fever Paper pack was adhered to the left side of the panel to add a splash of color. The colored images were adhered to the panel with foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. Finally, the panel was adhered to a white A2 cardbase (4.25” x 5.5”).
