Sunny Studio Stamps: Sweet As Can Bee Birthday

Hello Crafty Friends! I'm on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I am excited to share a sweet birthday card showcasing the super cute new Sweet As Can Bee set from the latest Summer Release.

I stamped the images from the Sweet As Can Bee Stamps and a branch from the Little Birdie Stamps sets onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the coordinating Sweet As Can Bee Dies and the Little Birdies Dies to diecut them out. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Bees: Y11/13/15/19, T1/3/5/7, R20, B000
Beehive: Y11/13/08 YR21/24, W5
Branch: E21/23/25/27
Leaves: YG01/03/25

For the background, I used Peacock Feathers and Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend a sky background onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cartdstock. I used the Comic Strip Everyday Dies to diecut a frame out of white cardstock. I used a pair of scissors to snip off the dividers and leave just a border frame. Foam tape was used to adhere this white frame onto the inked panel. I added some dots with a white gel pen for a bit of interest.

For the sentiment, I used the Brilliant Banner 1 Dies and Brilliant Banner 3 Dies to diecut the banners out of black cardstock. I stamped the “Just Buzzin’ by to Say” and the custom created “Happy Bee Day” sentiments from the Sweet And Can Bee Stamps set with Versamark Watermark ink onto the banner diecuts and heat embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder.

The colored images were adhered to the panel with liquid glue and foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest. I added a few flowers diecut from the Gift Card Envelope Dies. Finally, the panel was adhered to a white A2 cardbase (4.25” x 5.5”).

I appreciate you taking the time to stop by and visit today. I hope you liked my card. Be sure to visit the Sunny Studio Stamps Shop to check out the new Summer Release and for more info and ideas. Please also visit my INSTAGRAM feed for more inspirations.
