Simon Says Stamp Shine On Release: Botanical Buds

I had so much fun playing with this Release and have created two cards to share with you today featuring the new Botanical Buds so beautifully illustrated by @jenoblade_.  So let's get started. 

Hope this brightens your day! For my first card, I have a postage stamp style card to share with you showcasing this adorable Botanical Buds stamp set that I have paired up with the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die and Postage Collage Stamp set.

I used the Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die to diecut the panel out of Neenah Solar White 110 lb card stock.  I stamped the images from the Botanical Buds Stamp set onto each of the postage stamps with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the images with Copic markers and accented with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:

Dk Pink: RV000/10/21/13/14

Lt Pink: RV000/10/21

Yellow: Y11/13/15/19

Lt Green: YG01/03

Dk Green YG01/03/25/17

Sky: B0000/000

Grass: YG01/03

For the sentiment, I stamped the "Hope this brightens your day" sentiment fro the Botanical Buds Stamp set directly onto one of the stamps with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I also added some stamp values from the Postage Collage Stamp set with the same ink.

The panel was adhered to a piece of pink cardstock before it was adhered to a white A2 cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").

Hello, sunshine! For my second card, I have a clean and simple card to share with you showcasing a couple of my favorite images from the new Botanical Buds set.

I stamped the images from the Botanical Buds Stamp set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen. I fussy cut out the images.

COPIC COLORS:

Skin: E000/00/21/11/13, R20

Green: YG01/03/25/17

Pink: RV10/21/13/14

Yellow: Y11/08

Purple: V000/01/12/15

For the layout, I masked off the bottom portion of a piece of white cardstock. I lightly ink blended the top portion of the panel with Saltwater Taffy and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide inks. I used Copic markers (YG01/03) to add a few dots to the grass. 

I stamped the Nature in Bloom Stamp onto a piece of light blue cardstock with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink. Once dry, I trimmed the panel down the blue panel and I adhered a piece of craft foam to the back of the panel before adhering it to a white A2 cardbase (4.25" x 5.5").

 

For the sentiment, I the "Hello, sunshine" sentiment from the same stamp set directly onto the panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
