Sunny Studio Stamps: Cruisin' Cuisine

Hello Crafty Friends! I'm on the Sunny Studio Stamps blog today and I have a clean, simple and punny card to share with you showcasing the Cruisin’ Cuisine set. Isn’t this food truck just the cutest? This fun set comes with several options of food for decorating the truck. I saw the French fries and couldn’t resist. Who doesn’t love French fries???

I stamped the images from the Cruisin’ Cuisine Stamps and the adorable bear from the Holiday Hugs Stamps sets set onto a piece of Neenah Solar White 110 lb cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I wanted an extra box of French fries for the bear so I masked off the burger half of the clear stamp, inked it up, removed the mask and stamped just the fries, A black pen was used to draw in the lines for the remainder of the French fries box. I used the coordinating Cruisin’ Cuisine Dies and Holiday Hugs Dies to diecut them out. I fussy cut off the excess part of the diecut for the extra box of fries.  I colored with Copic markers and highlighted with a white gel pen.

COPIC COLORS:
Burger: E51/53/33, YG01/03, R14/24, Y17, E33/35
French fries: Y11/15/19 YR23, R14/24/29
Truck: R14/24/29, Y13/15, C1, W5/7, B0000/00
Bear: E50/51/53/33, R000/00/20, W5/7
Scarf: RV10/21
Letters: Y11/15/19 YR23

I kept the background clean and simple with a light ink blending of Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide ink for a bit of color. I matted the panel with a slightly larger piece of black cardstock.

I couldn’t resist making a punny sentiment for the card. I used the Sydney Alphabet Dies to diecut each of the “FRIES” letters out of white cardstock three times. I colored one set of letters with Copic markers. The letters were stacked and adhered to each other and then the panel with liquid glue. I did some creative masking and partial stamping to create the “I only have” part of the sentiment with sentiments from the Fabulous Flamingos Stamps and Foxy Friends Stamps sets. The “for you” sentiment is from the Fabulous Flamingo set. I trimmed out the subsentiments and adhered them to the panel with foam tape.

The extra box of fries was adhered to the bear and the bear was adhered to the panel with foam tape. Finally, the panel was adhered to a white A2 cardbase (4.25” x 5.5”).
